Orphans of Teso is a community of individuals from around the world committed to the care and support of the thousands of orphaned and vulnerable children in the Teso region of Uganda. Our community of sponsors make what we do possible, and we are also deeply indebted to several core partners who make the ongoing work in Uganda possible.
Our partners at Children’s HopeChest facilitate the ongoing programming and development plans for our CarePoints and are at the heart of our opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of not only our sponsored kids, but the surrounding communities as well. Children’s HopeChest is a Colorado Springs based non profit operating in 10 countries around the world and serving the needs of more than 18,000 orphaned children through more than 100 strategic partnerships.
The team of real estate professionals at CENTURY 21 Signature Real Estate are proud partners of Orphans of Teso. The organization is co-owned by Orphans of Teso founders Dylan de Bruin and Joe Schafbuch, and our team of agents and staff members sponsor many of the kids at the CarePoints. It is our pleasure to be able to use our trade and industry to help those in need around the world experience a better chance at life.
The Overflow thrift store in Ames Iowa was born out of our desire to take the excess that we experience in our local culture (in the form of our used and unwanted things) and convert them to revenue while recycling these goods back into the market place. In this way, out of the Overflow of our heart we can make good use of the Overflow of our things. Overflow Thrift Store operates under the nonprofit status of Affiliated Compliance, Inc. and donates to the CarePoints and other causes of this nature.
